Our housekeeper position is an employee W4 position, (NOT and independent contractor). As an employee, you are protected by employment labor laws and you don’t have to worry about complicated tax filings as a contract worker.


  • We take the time to meet with each client before we provide service. This ensures a safe and comfortable work environment.
  • We provide a company vehicle! Many other housekeeping services require you to drive your own vehicle. Fuel, maintenance and repairs are expensive! Plus, if something happens to your vehicle during the course of your day, such as a crash or a flat tire, it’s covered by our insurance and we handle the repairs.
  • Our Management Team takes care of all laundry as well as restocking cleaning products in your kits and loading them in your company car.
  • At American Housekeeping, you earn a percentage for every home you clean!
  • In addition to your commission earnings, tips, hourly base pay plus bonus make up your total earning. We have been cleaning homes since 1991 and have proven that best pay method for the benefit of housekeepers is a Commission structure. Advance in rank and earn higher commission rates!
  • Weekly paychecks! Every Friday is Payday! Direct deposit is available.
  • Cell phone reimbursement is available.

With commission based pay model, hourly wages vary based on each housekeepers proficiency. Current average weekly earnings for a Housekeeper in training is $510.45/week plus tips and for a Team lead the average weekly earnings is $672.70 plus tips.
